On the Rocha side of Laguna Garzón, at kilometre 210 of Ruta 10, EcoGarzón pitches its domes and cotton tents inside the country's largest psammophile forest, a coastal scrubland ecosystem protected since 2014. There are just four independent units, each with a private bathroom, a real bed and breakfast included, plus common areas and a 360-degree lookout for taking in the lagoon, the forest and the sky with nothing in between.
Running since 2019, it's the plan for anyone who wants the immersive version of Laguna Garzón: paddle out on a SUP, ride horses, head off on a surf trip or simply listen to the forest at night around the fire. It's about 15 minutes from José Ignacio, so you can pair dinner in the village with waking up to birdsong. Made above all for couples with an outdoor spirit.
