On the shores of Laguna José Ignacio, between the village and Punta del Este, the Klein family turned their polo farm into a seasonal retreat that opens each year from November 1 to April 30. Guests sleep in three California-country-style houses with exposed beams and floor-to-ceiling windows, adding up to seven rooms and named after the owners' children: Casa Ali, Casa Pauli and Casa Beatrice.

Polo remains the heart of the place, with matches, tournaments and lessons open to guests, but the list goes on: an Olympic-size saltwater pool with jacuzzi, a spa with infrared sauna, tennis, a gym, a yoga studio and La Sierra, the farm-to-table restaurant. Bikes, kayaks and SUP boards come free of charge, and there is a private beach house. For families or groups who want countryside, lagoon and sea in one place.
