Playa Vik is one of the three Vik hotels in José Ignacio, on Playa Mansa (the calm, bay-side beach) a few metres from the village, and the smallest of the three. According to the hotel, it consists of a central glass-and-titanium pavilion surrounded by houses, with an art collection and a cantilevered pool over the sea.

Guests have access to Bahía Vik, about 500 metres along the beach, and to Estancia Vik inland, according to the listing. The restaurants and the lighthouse are within walking distance. The hotel is seasonal in character like most of José Ignacio: the high season is the southern summer, December to February.
