CAMPO is a non-profit that photographer Heidi Lender founded in Pueblo Garzón so that artists from different countries can come and work in the village. It runs studios and residencies: the CAMPO AIR programme hosts creatives in spring and autumn, which in Uruguay means roughly September to November and March to May.

For visitors, the event is the Campo Art Fest in late December: more than twenty international artists take over the square and other spots in the village with site-specific installations, music, performances and talks. The eighth edition, from December 28 to 30, 2025, dealt with migration under the title UN/SETTLED. CAMPO publishes the dates of each edition.
