Música en el Faro is a series of chamber and classical music concerts that a group of José Ignacio residents has organised every February for more than two decades. February is late summer in Uruguay, after the January peak. Admission is free, and venues include the lighthouse grounds and village spaces such as the Club de Mar.

The repertoire runs from the classics to contemporary music, with performers from the Río de la Plata region and, in some years, world premieres. The programme changes every year: check the February dates and venues before you travel.
