La Juanita Lodge is aimed at the independent traveller: apartment-style units in the La Juanita neighbourhood, each with a full kitchen, dining area, terrace and private bathroom, plus a garden, wifi and free parking. Playa Mansa is about a ten-minute walk away, and this is one of the quietest pockets in the area: sandy streets, low houses and neighbours cycling past with surfboards under their arms.

It's the logical base for longer stays, or for anyone who prefers to cook, shop at the local stores and set their own pace without hotel timetables. Prices are noticeably lower than in the village of José Ignacio, which is an easy bike ride away. For surfers, summer remote workers and couples travelling on a budget but well located.
