In January 2025 Argentine gallerist Tomás Redrado brought a branch of his Miami-born art platform to José Ignacio. His 80-square-meter space in Arenas de José Ignacio, behind Art House, bets on regional contemporary art with a model that connects international fairs in Argentina, Miami and Uruguay, and a strong commitment to the artists he represents.
The program plans four exhibitions a year, in January, February, April and December, plus monthly residencies for international artists who work with no creative conditions attached. The gallery ties into the community by using local materials and collaborating with artisans from the area. For visitors, it's the clearest sign that José Ignacio's art scene has outgrown the beach season.
