A Pura Vela is a sailing school on the Rocha shore of Laguna Garzón, at km 190.5 of the old Ruta 10. According to the school, it teaches recreational sailing on catamarans to children, teenagers and adults.

Besides lessons, the school lists catamaran outings for families with wildlife watching on the lagoon, which belongs to Uruguay's national system of protected areas (see the portal's article on the protected area). The lagoon is the border between two departments, Maldonado and Rocha; this school is on the Rocha side, east of the circular bridge.
