Escuela de Kite y Windsurf Laura is a water-sports school on Route 10, on the shore of Laguna Garzón. According to the school itself, it is run by Laura Moñino, an IKO international instructor and South American windsurfing runner-up in 1992, has been operating for more than 32 years and is the only IKO centre in Uruguay. The lagoon, as the school describes it, has shallow, flat water where you can stand and usable wind from almost any direction.
