Guido D'Alessandro is a holistic therapist who brings therapeutic massage to your home, massage table included, in José Ignacio, Garzón, Manantiales, La Barra and Punta del Este. He works with a professional team of massage therapists, Vaitiare and Lourdes, who also have many years of experience, so they can take on large groups and give simultaneous sessions on several tables.
There are six treatments: deep tissue, Swedish massage, lymphatic drainage, Kobido, lomi lomi and a gong bath. The five massages share a base price of USD 120 per hour plus travel expenses, and the gong bath is a group session with its own price. All three team members perform every treatment to the same standard.

Treatments
Deep tissue
Known in Spanish as descontracturante, this is a deep therapeutic manual technique that releases knots or muscle contractures, meaning involuntary and sustained contractions of the fibres. It focuses mainly on the neck, back, shoulders and lower back, using friction, kneading and sustained pressure to restore mobility and relieve pain. It is slow, attentive work that reaches the innermost layers of muscle and fascia.
Length and price: 60 min, USD 120 + travel expenses.
Swedish massage (relaxing)
A therapeutic and relaxing full-body technique that uses oil and firm strokes directed towards the heart to reduce stress, ease muscle tension and improve blood and lymphatic circulation. Enveloping and rhythmic, it invites the nervous system to stop defending itself. It is ideal for a racing mind, insomnia or anxiety.
Length and price: 60 min, USD 120 + travel expenses.
Manual lymphatic drainage
Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a therapeutic massage technique that applies extremely soft, slow and rhythmic movements on the skin to stimulate the lymphatic system. Its main goal is to help lymph circulate and to move stagnant fluids towards the lymph nodes, where they are filtered and eliminated. It is deeply detoxifying, immunomodulating and calming.
Length and price: 60 min, USD 120 + travel expenses.
Kobido (natural lifting)
A centuries-old Japanese facial massage technique known as the "natural lifting". Its name means "the ancient path of beauty". It combines fast and slow movements, kneading, percussion and lymphatic drainage to tone the deep muscles of the face, neck and décolleté without surgery.
Length and price: 45 or 60 min. The 60-minute session costs USD 120 + travel expenses; ask for the price of the 45-minute session when booking.
Lomi lomi (Hawaiian massage)
A traditional technique of Polynesian origin whose name means "to knead" or "loving hands". It uses long, fluid and rhythmic strokes, made mainly with the forearms, elbows and hands, that mimic the movement of sea waves and bring deep physical and emotional relaxation.
Length and price: 60 min, USD 120 + travel expenses.
Gong bath
An immersive sound therapy: you lie on a mat and let yourself be enveloped by the vibrations and acoustic waves the gong produces as it is played. It works through vibration and resonance, calming the mind and switching off the body's alert system. It helps reduce stress and anxiety, relaxes the muscles deeply, improves rest and sleep, and leaves a feeling of lightness and mental clarity.
Length and price: group session of 1 h 15 min, USD 220.

Good to know if you are visiting
The coverage area spans several places in Maldonado department, most of them on the coast: José Ignacio is about 40 km from Punta del Este, with La Barra and Manantiales in between, and Pueblo Garzón lies inland. Because travel expenses are added to every session, mention your exact address when you write so the total can be confirmed. Prices are in US dollars, not Uruguayan pesos. In the summer high season (December to February), write ahead with your dates.
