Walden Naturae is the art space that Ricardo Ocampo, founder of Walden Gallery, opened in Pueblo Garzón. In a 500-square-metre room of its own it unfolds a year-round programme that dialogues between the historical and the contemporary, with group and solo shows by artists of different generations. The aim is to weave the gallery experience into the landscape of Garzón, in a constant crossover between art and nature that makes it unique in the area.

The grounds add an environmental side that sets it apart: a section devoted to permaculture, the recovery of native woodland and an open-air sculpture park. Each summer the calendar renews with exhibitions, and for 2026 it has announced group shows in January and a solo show during the February carnival. It is a must-see stop for anyone after contemporary art outside the traditional circuits of the east.
