Take a Chef is a platform that connects travellers and families with private chefs who cook in the house where they are staying. According to its own presentation, you choose a menu, adjust it to your group and the chef handles the rest: buying the ingredients, cooking, table service and cleaning the kitchen afterwards.

Being a platform, availability depends on the chefs registered for each date, so it is worth booking in advance. It covers Uruguay, including Punta del Este and the José Ignacio area, and prices vary with the menu and the number of diners; the portal does not publish them. Bear in mind that the seasons are reversed: the Uruguayan summer, December to February, is the high season on this coast.
